The two-time champions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Islamabad United, have announced an 18-member squad for the sixth edition of country’s premier Twenty20 tournament scheduled to start from February 20.

The team retained seven players from the previous season and used the transfer window to bring back Karachi Kings' Alex Hales by trading him for Colin Ingram.

It was, however, Hasan Ali that was Islamabad’s top pick in the players’ draft after the pacer asked his former team Peshawar Zalmi to release him.

Shadab Khan will lead the franchise again in the upcoming season while team regulars Faheem Ashraf, Hussain Talat and Asif Ali will continue to feature for the franchise.

The 18-player squad includes six foreign players while the rest of them are local.
