ICC World Cup: Australia set 298-run target for England in warm-up match

Host team England has lost three wickets with 128 runs on the scoreboard in 24 overs against Australia in their ICC World Cup warm up match.

Australia set a target of 298 for England after completing the 50 overs  with nine wickets down in their first warmup match. 

Australia has lost six wickets with 276 runs on the scoreboard in 48 overs against host team England in their ICC World Cup warm up match.

England won the toss and opted to field against Australia.

England, the ‘top favorites’ for the tournament who appear to be in great formed with a strong batting unit has fixed a chain of high targets in recently held series.

On the other hand, Australia is also securing a strong hold in the tournament as Steve Smith and David Warner are upholding the position for the team.

Australia had previously routed West Indies at the same venue during an unofficial warm-up match.

While both the teams are standing firm, England holds a more dominant position as they won nine out 10 games played between the two teams recently.
