The England cricket team after routing Pakistan in the recent five-match ODI series, has hopes and excitement surging high ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.

Eoin Morgan, captain of the team termed widely as the ‘top favorites’ to grab the ICC World Cup 2019, said on Wednesday that he wished the tournament could start as early as tomorrow as they are quite confident about outshining the rest of the teams.

“We'd like to start playing tomorrow. We've had some really good prep against Pakistan, I don't think it could have gone better. I've got absolutely no regrets. We're positioned in the best possible place at the moment,” he said while addressing an event in London.

About playing on the home ground and it coming off as an added bonus for the team, Morgan stated: “The crowd will definitely be our 12th man. It's a huge opportunity, we're looking to go out and express ourselves and continue to play as we have in the last four years.”
