Pakistan registered their second win of the ongoing World Championship of Legends as they beat West Indies by 29 runs at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
The Men in Green restricted Chris Gayle and Co. to 165/9 after posting a 195-run target. They defeated Australia by five wickets in their first game.
Earlier, Younis Khan opted to bat first. Kamran Akmal couldn't contribute yet again, scoring only 5 off 7 balls. Sharjeel Khan played a cameo of 15-ball 35 to provide stability to the innings.
Sohaib Maqsood chipped in with 12-ball 22 but it was Shoaib Malik who led the Pakistan batting with 41-ball 54 with the help of five fours and a six.
Shahid Afridi hit 10-ball 16 while Aamer Yamin smashed 29 in just 11 balls at the backend as Pakistan scored 194/8.
Ashley Nurse was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/20 while Fidel Edwards claimed 2/46.
In run chase, only two West Indies' batters contributed significantly. Opener Dwayne Smith scored 46-ball 65 while Jonathan Carter made 34 off 25 balls.
Pakistan bowlers applied the pressure by taking wickets at regular intervals. Pacer Sohail Tanvir led the attack with figures of 4/14 while Shahid Afridi bagged 3/41. Wahab Riaz contributed 2/18.
