Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been rewarded for his consistent performances, becoming the first Indian player to attain the No.1 spot in the ICC men’s T20I all-rounder rankings.

The 30-year-old Pandya played a crucial role in India’s T20 World Cup victory, taking the wickets of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller in the final. He concluded the tournament with 144 runs at a batting strike rate exceeding 150 and secured 11 wickets.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah, who was awarded the Player of the Tournament at the T20 World Cup for his 15 wickets, ascended 12 places to just outside the top 10 in the bowlers’ rankings. He is now at 12th, his highest position since the end of 2020.

There were other movements in the top 10 of the T20I all-rounders’ rankings, with Marcus Stoinis, Sikandar Raza, Shakib Al Hasan, and Liam Livingstone each rising by one spot. Mohammad Nabi dropped four spots, falling out of the top five.

In the T20I bowling rankings, South Africa’s Anrich Nortje rose seven places to a career-best second position, just behind the top-ranked Adil Rashid with 675 rating points.

Meanwhile, Australia’s batter Travis Head remained at the top spot of the batter rankings. Pakistan captain Babar Azam is at No.4, while Mohammad Rizwan is at fifth.

South Africa skipper Aiden Markram dropped by two points after an ordinary tournament with the bat.
