India will face South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 today in Barbados but rain could play spoilsport during the high-profile contest.

According to the ICC’s rules and regulations for the tournament, both teams will be declared joint winners if the match is washed out due to rain.

The official match time is 10:30am to 1:20pm local time but it could continue till 4:50pm taking weather conditions into consideration.

Here's the hourly weather update of Barbados for Saturday, June 29:

9:00 AM (local time) - 47 % chance of rain

10:00 AM - 29 % chance of rain

11:00 AM - 29 % chance of rain

12:00 PM - 35 % chance of rain

1:00 PM - 51 % chance of rain

2:00 PM - 47 % chance of rain

3:00 PM - 40 % chance of rain

However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has set aside a reserve day for the final. If the match can’t be completed on Saturday, both the teams will take the field once again on Sunday.

According to ICC's playing conditions for the reserve day, "every effort will be made to complete the match on the scheduled day with any necessary reduction in overs taking place and only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match cannot be bowled on the scheduled day will the match be completed on the reserve day."

The result for the match will only be achieved if a minimum of 10 overs have been completed by each side. The match will resume from the same point, where it stopped due to rain on Saturday, on the reserve day.
