Cricket Ireland has written a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the treatment with men's team during their stay in New York, USA for two matches of the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA.

Paul Stirling and Co. played two matches at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and lost both.

Meanwhile, Cricket Ireland has complained in their letter about the hotel arrangements made for the Irish team

The Irish cricket team was supposed to stay closer to the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium but their living accommodations were moved to Brooklyn from Long Island in New York just two weeks before the T20 World Cup 2024 started.

The new hotel in Brooklyn was a 90-minute drive away from the stadium. India, one of Ireland’s opponents, remained near the stadium in Long Island.

Ireland at least cancelled one of their training sessions due to the long distance between their living accommodations in Brooklyn and the ground and training facilities. They also attempted to cancel a pre-match press conference because one player had to travel from Brooklyn to Long Island just to fulfil press duties.

Ireland sustained an early exit in the T20 World Cup 2024 as they failed to win a single game. They lost against Pakistan, USA and Canada and their game against India was washed out due to rain.
