WATCH: England players play cricket ahead of Slovakia knockout match in EURO 2024

England will play Slovakia in their Round of 16 match in the ongoing European Championship (EURO) 2024 at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany on June 30 and their players played cricket in a practice session on Friday.

Aaron Ramsdale, Kieran Trippier, Declan Rice and Harry Kane were seen playing cricket during a training session.

Rice bowled to Ramsdale who tried to connect with the ball but was caught at the slip by Trippier after which the English players celebrated the wicket.

England began their Euro 2024 campaign with a 1-0 win over Serbia where Jude Bellingham scored a header which turned out to be a difference between the two sides.

After beating Serbia, Gareth Southgate’s side took on Denmark but the match ended 1-1 with Kane scoring for England. Their last match of the group stage was against Slovenia, which ended in a goalless draw.

England finished their Group C campaign with five points and eased their way to the round of 16 where they will now face Slovakia.

Should they beat Slovakia, they will face the winner of Italy vs Switzerland in the quarter-finals.
