Seamer Chris Jordan became the first England man to pick up a T20I hat-trick, reaching this milestone during the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 match against the United States in Barbados on Sunday.

Jordan accomplished the remarkable feat in the 19th over of the US innings, where he secured four wickets, beginning with the dismissal of Corey Anderson. Following a dot delivery, Jordan went on to clean bowl Ali Khan and trap Nosthush Kenjige leg-before, before bowling out Saurabh Netravalkar to achieve the hat-trick.

Jordan’s hat-trick is the third of the ongoing T20 World Cup, following Australia’s Pat Cummins, who accomplished the feat twice in successive games against Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the Super 8s. This marks only the second edition where three hat-tricks have been recorded, the first being the 2021 tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
