Pakistan Under-19 team on Tuesday were training at the NWU Sports Village in the Potchefstroom ahead of their upcoming match against Zimbabwe on January 22 for the U-19 Cricket World Cup.

The team took off its World Cup campaign last Sunday against Scotland with a stuttering start. What was thought to be a paltry 76-run target took a turn for the worse as Pakistan lost its openers — Haider Ali and Mohammad Shehzad — in the first and second overs respectively.

Despite reeling at 2-4, the team's captain Rohail Nazir along with Irfan Khan took the score past the 50-run mark before the former disappeared. In the end, the pairing of Irfan (38) and Qasim Akram got the team over the line*

Pakistan's next clash is scheduled to take place at the Witrand Oval in Potchefstroom.
