Cricketer-turned-commentator Bazid Khan is set to replace Misbah-ul-Haq in Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) Cricket Committee, according to Daily Jang.

The 38-year-old former batsman, who played just a single Test and five ODIs for Pakistan, will become the youngest member of the committee.

While Bazid had a brief career at the top, he has since carved out a successful career for himself in cricket punditry and is a frequent presence on TV screens.

He was also a part of the committee that had chosen Misbah as the replacement of former head coach Mickey Arthur.

The Urdu daily further reports that spin great Iqbal Qasim is also set to be inducted into the Cricket Committee as a replacement for PCB CEO Wasim Khan.

The incoming duo join legendary pacer Wasim Akram and women's cricket team's chief selector Urooj Mumtaz on the panel.

The latest round of inductions mean that the Cricket Committee does not have any PCB employees, Jang added.
