Pakistan beat Bhutan to win another match in five-nation basketball tournament

KARACHI: Pakistan beat Bhutan by 76-53 to win their second match in the ongoing five-nation basketball tournament in Maldives. 

The green shirts dominated the contest with their players scoring after regular intervals. Zain-ul-Hassan scored 21 points followed by captain Shahbaz Ali (15) and Umair Jan (12). 

Earlier, Pakistan beat hosts Maldives by 65-63 after a thrilling fight. 

In the first three quarters, Pakistan maintained their dominance throughout the match but lost their edge over the Maldives in the last quarter.

For the national team, Zain ul Hasan Khan scored 22 points, Zia ur Rehman scored 15 and Ahmed Amad ended the game with 13 points.

In the first match, Pakistan lost to Nepal by 66-62. They will now play their last league game against Bangladesh tomorrow. 

It must be noted here that Pakistan are participating in an international event after seven years.
