'There is no comparison between me, Haris and Ihsan,' Mir Hamza

Pakistan's Test fast bowler Mir Hamza believes that he has command on swing and seam whereas Haris Rauf and Ihsanullah have skills to bowl with pace.

Speaking to Geo News on the sidelines of Pakistan Shaheens camp, Hamza said he doesn't want to shift his focus from swing and seam to pace because it is his strength.

"Now a days, there is more focus on pace. But, I am stronger in swing and seam bowling," he mentioned. "There is no comparison between me, Haris and Ihsan. They both have skills to bowl with pace. I have grip on swing and seam. I don't want to lose it by shifting my focus," added the pacer.

Hamza made his Test debut in Abu Dhabi back in 2018. He was left out from the Test squad after just a Test match. This year in January, he made a comeback against New Zealand but could only take a wicket on a batting-friendly track.

In response to a question, Hamza agreed that it has become tough for pacers to find their place in the national team due to strong competition.

"It is good to see a lot of fast bowlers coming from the circuit," he said. "Now, every fast bowler needs to work really hard in order to make his place in the team," he highlighted.

Hamza will travel to Zimbabwe alongside Pakistan Shaheens squad. They will play two four-day and six 50-over format games against the home side.

Pakistan Shaheens are currently undergoing an 11-day training camp at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Centre in Karachi to prepare for the Zimbabwe tour which will conclude on 18 April.
