Asia Cup 2022: 'I like Hardik Pandya a lot,' says Wasim Akram

KARACHI: Pakistan is geared up to take on arch-rivals India in the Super Four clash of the T20 Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai International Stadium today.

In an interview with local media, the Sultan of Swing revealed that he likes the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

"I like Hardik Pandya a lot, especially in the T20I format. Because he is a proper all-rounder. Like Pakistan have Shadab Khan. Talking about Hardik, he has pace and he is also an electrifying fielder. When it comes to his batting, he is fearless."

Pandya was sensational against Pakistan in the opening match of the continental tournament, as his all-round performance helped the Men in Blue secure a five-wicket win over the Green Shirts. He scored 33 off 17 and bagged three wickets to help India beat Pakistan.

The blockbuster clash will kick off in Dubai at 07:00 PM (PST).
