Shaheen Shah Afridi becomes honorary police officer

PESHAWAR: Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has become an honorary officer of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. 

In a ceremony that took place here on Monday, KPK police chief Muazzam Ansari announced Afridi as their goodwill ambassador. 

While talking at the juncture, Afridi thanked the police for their services to citizens. 

"I have links with police as my father served as a policeman and my brother is an active policeman," he said. 

"Police officers and all security officials are the real heroes of our country. They deserve all the respect and honor," added Afridi who donned a police officer's uniform. 

Shaheen has represented Pakistan in 24 Tests, 32 ODIs, and 40 T20Is since his debut in 2018.
