KARACHI: Content with Pakistan’s foolproof security measures and hospitality, Australia's start all-rounder Mitchell Marsh said that there should be international cricket in the country.

Addressing a virtual press conference, Marsh said, "Pakistan is a good place for cricket, and there should be international cricket."

Heaping praise on the Pakistan white-ball team, he said Green Shirts possess more experience than the Aussie team.

It is pertinent to mention here that a three-match ODI series and one T20I between the two teams are scheduled to kick off from March 29.

"Pakistan white-ball team is very good. We all have a chance to perform well. Australia is a new white ball team, while Pakistan team is experienced,"

Marsh said in an online presser ahead of the first ODI, which will take place on 29 March.

'Test series was played in good spirit'

Talking about the Pakistan-Australia Test series, the 30-year-old said that the Test series was played in good spirit, and now the white-ball series will also be excellent.

"This victory in the tour of Pakistan was a great victory. There are subcontinental tours in the future, and the win against Pakistan will be beneficial," Marsh said.

"Yesterday, everyone celebrated the victory and had dinner together. We enjoyed a lot, and now everyone is fresh. Now, the focus is on the ODI series, and training sessions will also be held before the series. The ODI series will be as good as the Test series," he added.

Marsh lauds Pakistanis

Marsh also lauded the people of Pakistan and said that the visitors are being kept in a pleasant and safe environment.

"The people of Pakistan are very good. We are being well taken care of and staying in a very good hotel. We are being kept very safe.

"My father [Geoff Marsh] has talked to me about his visit to Pakistan. Cricket is different from that era, and now I will also enjoy cricket here," he concluded.
