LPL 2021: Shoaib Malik scores 'hattrick in Sri Lanka'

Jaffna Kings, led by veteran Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik, has won the Lanka Premier League 2021 for the third time in a row.

The franchise was formerly known as Jaffna Stallions.

Jaffna Kings clashed with Galle Gladiators in the final of the LPL 2021. Opting to bat first, Jaffna Kings set a big total of 202-runs and restricted Galle Gladiators to 178 runs to win the title for the third consecutive time.

Shoaib Malik performance well as he scored 23 runs in 11 balls before getting caught out off a Mohammad Amir delivery. But he was brilliant with the ball and bowled three wicketless overs and gave away only 12 runs at an economy of just four.

Shoaib Malik took to Twitter and shared a picture of himself posing with the trophy.

"Hattrick in Srilanka," tweeted Malik.

"Alhamdolilah," he added.
