ISLAMABAD: Members of the Pakistan cricket team selected for the upcoming World Cup 2019 met with Prime Minister Imran Khan here at the Prime Minister House on Friday.

The team was accompanied by chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ehsan Mani, Coach Mickey Arthur and Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Officials of the PCB Management also took part in the meeting with Prime minister Imran Khan.

According to sources, PM Imran advised the cricket team regarding preparations for the upcoming World Cup, while expressing faith in them.

The prime minister shook hand with all members of the team and encouraged them to boost their morale.

He directed to play with good team spirit, hardwork and enthusiasm in the mega cricket event.

Imran Khan, who had led the green-shirts to their first World Cup victory in 1992, advised skipper Sarfraz Ahmed to lead the team from the front as his performance matters a lot in big matches.

He gave an hour-long lecture to the players, sharing with them his World Cup 1992 experiences.
