Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United by 49 runs in the the Eliminator-2 in the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League being played Friday night at the National Stadium Karachi.

Zalmi will now face Quetta Gladiators in the final of PSL 2019 at the same ground on Sunday March 17.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi set a massive target of 215 runs for Islamabad United after United won the toss and decided to field.

Chasing the target, Islamabad United scored 166 for nine in 20 overs.

The deciding match started at 7 p.m.

This was the penultimate match before the final of the PSL-4 and also the replay of the final of the PSL-3 where the same teams clashed with each other.

However, Islamabad had won that final to become the PSL champions for second time.

Peshawar had lost that final to finish the runners-up whereas they earlier held the title in the second edition (2017).
