Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan bagged a hat-trick on his Lanka Premier League (LPL) debut for Colombo Strikers against Kandy Falcons on Tuesday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
The 25-year-old took wickets of Wanindu Hasaranga, Salman Ali Agha abd Pavan Rathnayake to complete his hat-trick and finished with figures of 4/22.

Put into bat first, Strikers led by Thisara Perera scored 198/7. Sadeera Samarawickrama was the top batter scoring 26-ball 48 while Perara scored 30-ball 38.
Shadab chipped in with a vital 17-ball 20 while Chamika Karunaratne smacked 10-ball 25.
In reply, Strikers bowled Kandy out for 147 and bagged a 51-run win. Apart from Shadab, spinnerDunith Wellalage took 4/20 and was pick of the bowlers
Meanwhile, Shadab reacted on X (formerly Twitter) after claiming a hat-trick. He wrote. "God is great" with his match figures and runs he scored with the bat.
It must be noted four Pakistan cricketers are in action in LPL 2024. Shadab is representing Colombo Strikers while Salman, Mohammad Haris and Mohammad Hasnain are playing for Kandy Falcons.
Shadab had been criticised in the recent past due to his below par performance in international cricket including the T20 World Cup 2024 which was held in the West Indies and United States.
