Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana will travel to Zimbabwe for the first two T20Is of the five-match series, the BCCI selection committee announced on Tuesday.

The trio will replace Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the squad.

Sudharsan has already represented India in ODIs, having made his debut in South Africa last year.

Meanwhile, Jitesh has featured in nine T20Is for India since his debut in the Asian Games in 2023.

Harshit, who played a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ title triumph this season, is uncapped at the international level.

Samson, Dube and Jaiswal were a member of the Indian contingent that won the T20 World Cup on Saturday but their departure to India from Barbados was delayed due to a Hurricane.

The World Cup-winning trio will first travel to India with the rest of the members from Barbados before departing for Harare for the final three T20Is, the BCCI has confirmed.

India’s squad for the five-match T20I series doesn’t have a lot of experience with Shubman Gill being named skipper.

The series will begin on July 6 and conclude on July 14 with all five games set to be held at the Harare Sports Club.
