Pakistan players on a roll in Asian Snooker Championship

Pakistan players have performed exceedingly well during the ongoing Asian Snooker Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

All four Pakistan cueists in the tournament are unbeaten in the tournament, so far, and have reached the semis.

Asjad Iqbal and Awais Munir booked spot in the semi-finals of the 6 reds event. Meanwhile, Ahsan Ramzan and Muhammad Hasnain are in the last four of the U21 championship.

Iqbal beat Mhanaa Alobaidli of Qatar 5-0 in the quarter-finals. On the other hand, Munir defeated Hong Kong China’s Fung Kwok Wai 5-2.

Munir and Iqbal will clash in the semi-final of the event which means that one Pakistan player is confirmed to feature in the final.

In the U21 event, Hasnain beat Ranveer Duggal of India 4-3 in the quarters. Meanwhile, Ramzan defeated Saudi Arabia’s Ziyad Alqabbani 4-1.

If Ramzan and Hasnain win their respective semis, they will clash in the final of the tournament.

It must be noted that all four Pakistan players remained unbeaten during the group stage matches of the tournament as well.

The semi-finals will be played later today while the finals will be held tomorrow.
