Cristiano Ronaldo is aiming to follow the Real Madrid model at his current club Al-Nassr by bringing some of his former teammates to the Saudi club, reported Spanish news outlet MARCA on Sunday.

Ronaldo, who left Real Madrid in 2018 after winning the UEFA Champions League, does not like to lose and after his latest defeat against Al-Hilal in the Champions Cup final, he is determined to amass success next season.

Former assistant manager of Real Madrid, Fernando Hierro, is expected to join Al-Nassr as their Sporting Director. Hierro's move to Al Nassr will see him reunite with Ronaldo. As a player before leaving for Qatari club Al-Rayyan in 2003, Hierro spent 14 years at Madrid.

As Hierro’s joining Al-Nassr is almost a certainty, Ronaldo wants to bring Real Madrid’s captain, Nacho Fernandez, to the Saudi club and build a project with his former teammates, similar to what Lionel Messi did at Inter Miami.

Nacho won the Champions League with the Whites after beating Borussia Dortmund in the final and joined his teammates Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal and Luka Modric to become the only players to win six European titles.

Nacho’s future with the Whites is uncertain as his current deal will expire on June 30 and there has been no update on whether he will be renewing his contract or not. With uncertainty hanging on the Spaniard’s future, Ronaldo wants to grab the opportunity and bring his former teammate to the club.

As per the report, Nacho received a call from Ronaldo a few days back. He had his mind to move to United States’ Major League Soccer (MLS) but he has changed his mind and could go to Saudi if his future with Madrid isn’t resolved soon.

It is worth mentioning Ronaldo also approached Casemiro, another former teammate, who had a tough season with Manchester United and may seek a way out of Manchester for the upcoming season.
