Real Madrid clinched their record 15th Champions League title with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday at London's Wembley stadium.

Dani Carvajal (74') and Vinicius Jr. (83') were the heroes of the night, each scoring pivotal goals.

The breakthrough came in the 74th minute when Real won a corner. Toni Kroos delivered the ball to the near post, and Carvajal met it with a deft header that flew past Gregor Kobel into the side netting.

Shortly after, an error from Dortmund's Ian Maatsen proved costly. In a lapse of judgment, he attempted a square pass across goal, but it fell straight to Jude Bellingham.

The Englishman quickly spread the ball to Vinicius Jr., who drove towards the goal and slotted it past Kobel after a slight deflection off the ground.

Real Madrid's victory solidifies their dominance in European football with an unparalleled 15 Champions League titles.

Madrid have now won their last nine European Cup finals and clinched the competition six times in the last 11 seasons.

Carvajal, Kroos, Nacho, and Luka Modric have joined Real legend Paco Gento as the only players to secure the European Cup six times.

Carlo Ancelotti has also extended his record as the most successful coach in the competition's history with his fifth title.

Remember, a record number exceeding 2,500 stewards were stationed at Wembley, with authorities eager to prevent a recurrence of the violent scenes that tainted the Euro 2020 final three years prior, when fans without tickets breached the turnstiles.

However, additional scrutiny of the security measures will arise as three individuals managed to invade the pitch within the first few minutes of the game, one of whom took photographs alongside Bellingham and Vinicius.
